French Cultural Center In Istanbul To Host Mevlana Commemoration Days
Istanbul`s French Cultural Center is set to host in December a series
of events to commemorate Jalal ud-Din Muhammed Rumi or Mevlana, on the
800th anniversary of his birth.
The events will include exhibitions, a concert and a conference on
Mevlana`s philosophy and his ethical and spiritual discourse.
Prominent Turkish historian Ilber Ortayli will deliver a speech on
Sufi mysticism and the Mevlevi order at the conference which will be
held on Thursday, December 13.
