Nostalgie Istanbul with Orient Express
It is the famous "Orient Express", which was described by Agatha
Christie and known as the king of trains and train of kings.
A cosmopolitan clientele of English Earls, Hungarian Barons, Turkish
merchants, ambassadors or spies tread on its carpets.
Let us not be surprised that numbers of poets, writers and film-makers
could not resist the desire to experience and evoke the magic of it.
Balzac, Flaubert, Musset, Teophile Gautie, Graham Green, Agatha
Christie... Heroes from their novels travelled in the "Orient
Express".
The names of Marlene Dietrich and Jean Marais, the Queen Elisabeth II
of United Kingdom and H.R.H. princess Grace of Monaco, French
president Charles de Gaulle and the leader of former Soviet government
Nikita Khroutchev, Margaretha Geertruida Zelle, better known as
Mata-Hari are in the list of passengers of the "Orient Express".
