Istanbul-->Nevsehir-->Greme-->Antalya-->Istanbul-->Edirne-->Istanbul
So I just got back from a two week trip to Turkey where I had gone to
meet up with my aunt and cousins from Iran (who by the way I have
never met) and it was really awesome. After flying into Istanbul I got
the overnight bus to Nevsehir, which was one of the cities in
Cappadocia and met my relatives there. In Cappadocia we also went to
Greme. After a week we took an overnight bus and went to Antalya for
2 days and then took another bus to Istanbul, where we stayed for 5
days and it included a day trip to Edirne. All my immediate relatives
are in Iran and I have only just met some of them for the first time
in the last couple of years. It is a strange feeling cause I never
thought it would ever happen for one and the second thing is that to
see other people that look similar to you or have similar habits and
character, other than your parents and sister is strange also.
Something special about the trip was that we went on the mini
pilgrimage to the Holy Places in Turkey where Bah'u'llh stayed
together. This experience certainly brought us spiritually closer.
And just a quick message to my mum: Meeting khle Mahvash, I kept
wishing you were here instead of me. Not having seen your sister in 28
years made me feel very guilty in the beginning, but you were right,
that it made them very happy to meet me and me, for finally having a
childhood dream (to meet my cousins) fulfilled. After two weeks we
felt like we had spent years together but it was very hard to say
